Guess who my random celebrity sighting of the week was...
Well guys, I certainly appreciate all of you who took the time to comment on my blog posts. I really do read all your responses and take them into account, even if you think I don’t! Anyway, a couple of you have been requesting that I should start giving advice. Here’s my problem with that: I’m not a psychologist, and let’s be honest—I haven’t always made the right decisions in my own life. I kind of feel like, what business do I have giving people advice that I can’t follow myself? I know it sounds stupid, but it’s important to me that I don’t just get on my soapbox and preach away like I know all the answers. Anyway, at least I’m taking a step in the right direction: I finally took some time out to deal directly with Blake. We went to dinner last night (nothing romantic, just a quick trip to a burger joint) to discuss our situation. I told him I basically can’t hook up with him or start a relationship because of the fact that Eve liked him at one point. I said if it was one of your friends, you’d do the same thing. He was disappointed, but by the end he seemed to understand, and he said “I hope we can at least be friends,” and I said “Of course. Who else can get me on the guest list at all the clubs?” And we both had a laugh. He really is a decent guy after all. Which is something I can totally appreciate, especially after meeting so many not-decent guys in L.A. So, Christmas is nearly upon us. I can’t believe it. What are all you guys doing for Holiday break? Anything special planned? I know that I’m going to keep everything low-key. Drink some egg nog, build a fire. You know, just chill. I can’t wait. Ooooh, BTW. My random celebrity sighting of the week was…Paris Hilton’s Pizza boy! I was walking and saw him (without Paris) getting into a parked car. Paris certainly does like her pretty boys, I’ll give her that. But the poor thing was just dropped from his modeling agency, and goodness knows Paris will be done with him before the New Year! What is the pretty pizza boy to do? He’d better line up a VH1 Celebreality deal ASAP, while he’s still got her in his corner. Something tells me we won’t remember his name in a month or two… (wait—I already don’t remember his name…LOL!)

Baby mama drama!
Wow, what a strange week it’s been. I really appreciate all the advice you guys have given me. It’s gotten pretty tiring thinking about my life so much…so I wanted to take a moment and see what you guys think about the whole Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy debacle. I swear my jaw almost hit the floor when I found out. Jamie was supposed to be the classy Spears! You know…the good one. And now she’s sixteen and pregnant?! That sounds like the title of a particularly bad Lifetime Original Movie, but the fact is, it’s also really sad. There are lots more details coming out, so here’s a rundown of what we know so far: The father is 19-year-old Casey Aldridge, who Jamie says she’s been dating for over a year, but in interviews as recent as Thanksgiving, she was claiming to be single. Also, some sources are saying she was living with him. What kind of mother allows her 16-year-old daughter to move in with her boyfriend?! Secondly, the National Enquirer broke the story in late July, for which they were promptly sued. Jamie Lynn is claiming she’s only 12 weeks pregnant, but some people are saying the baby is actually due in the Spring…which would mean she’s been pregnant a lot longer than 12 weeks! Jamie Lynn told the story of her pregnancy exclusively to OK! Magazine, and has reportedly signed a deal with them that they will have exclusive first rights to publish pictures of the baby when it’s born. For this privilege they will pay her $1 million dollars. There are so many parts of that story that make me sick, I just don’t know where to begin. Pregnancy has become an easy way to get press in Hollywood, and while I don’t think anyone gets pregnant specifically to get their picture on the cover of more magazines, they certainly don’t seem to have a problem with selling their story to the highest bidder. It makes you think that there’s nothing that’s not a business anymore. Even having a baby, which should be one of the most important, life-changing, and personal experiences of your life, becomes a freakshow. So what do you guys think? Has the pregnancy epidemic gone too far? Is Hollywood to blame? What would you do (God forbid) if you were in Jamie Lynn’s situation?

Unlucky in Love...
Well….something happened. Something bad. I mean, it might not be bad but I’m kind of freaking out. Okay, so here’s the breakdown: On Friday I went out with Sam, one of the girls from work, to go dancing. Eve stayed in with a fresh cold. She hadn’t been feeling well the whole week. So anyway, we went to this place I haven’t been to before and got in right away all VIP status because Sam’s uncle works with the club owner or something like that…and you’ll never guess who was there: Blake. And he looked…good. He made a beeline for me as soon as he spotted me. “Hey there,” he said, “fancy seeing you here.” I blushed because I knew he still liked me, and in truth, I’d been desperately avoiding him because…God help me, I find him attractive! And I know the rule: if one of your friends (especially your BEST friend) shows interest in a guy then he’s OFF LIMITS. Period. End of story. And I’ve been known to fall prey to some of my more impulsive instincts, so my solution was to keep away from him. To forget about him. Which works out great except for one problem: L.A. is a small place. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s a huuuge place, but it’s also the kind of place where you can run into the ONE person in the world you don’t want to run into—twice in one day. Anyway, I’m sure most of you can guess what happened: he was flirting with me relentlessly and I was a couple of cocktails in and next thing I knew: we were totally making out! Luckily I had the wherewithal to stop myself before it went on for too long. I pushed him away. He said, “Why are you doing this? You know what you want,” or something to that effect, and before I knew it I was running blindly out of the club, not even telling Sam I had left. I slouched down outside and, I’m embarrassed to say, cried like a baby. Not wanting to jeopardize anything, I told Eve what had happened as soon as I got home that night. She listened and didn’t get mad, but you know when you can tell you’ve hurt someone, even though they won’t admit it? That’s how it was. She said it was okay, that it obviously didn’t work out between the two of them for a reason and I should give it a go if I really like him…but I could hear the hurt in her voice. So…the weekend passed. I’m back at work, and I feel AWFUL. Blake keeps up his relentless texting and phone calls and I just ignore him or tell him I can’t talk. I’m so sick of making mistakes! How is it that in a city of so many, I have to like the ONE guy I can’t have?! And BTW, did you guys hear that Pam Anderson filed for divorce early today with her husband of two months, and then before the day was even over announced they were “working it out”? Yeah, that’s about how I feel right now. Pulled back and forth. I don’t know what to do. Help!
